I heard you say the PS2 is based off of the System 246, but actually it's the other way around. The Arcade board is based off the PS2 hardware and development kit. Pretty much all the games were relased for the 246 around 2001. The PS2 had been out since April 2000 in Japan. So that makes the 246 based off of the PS2. Heck when I got my PS2 in July 2000, Ridge Racer V had a date of 1999 on it, so that lets me know the development kits were out before the console release
Still cool you got one!!

you should try putting one of the CDS from the 246 into a PS2 ! and see what happens :D

Dude, looks pretty sweet. Does it use ps2 games? just curious cause it had the magic gate logo on it. Also, hows the Neo 25 coming along? Just wondering. I just converted that Astro City into a 4 slot MVS cab. I couldn't be bothered just playing one game which wasn't that exciting. I didn't change the buttons on this one cause luckily I have a lot of different Neo games that aren't fighters and they use 3 buttons max so no prob : ) Had to fight with the harness and especially to get shit to work
nope does not use actual ps2 games. However I have heard that you can use the ps2 memory card but I have not verified this. As for the Neo 25 stay tuned. I have some videos coming soon. I am currently cleaning it up a litte
