While NATO is establishing democracy in Libya with carpet bombardment, what will be the toxic toll on the people there? The US dropped thousands of depleted uranium bombs upon Fallujah, Iraq in 2003, and the aftermath since has been catastrophic. Are they repeating the action in Libya? Conn Hallinan is a columnist with Foreign Policy in Focus and says it's just a very bad idea.

  • DU has a half life of 4.5 billion years.

Libya will be trashed for the rest of the life of the planet.

Good work UN Dictators protecting the Libyan people. What b*llsh*t.

  • Depleted Uranium is some really nasty nasty toxic stuff.. We have tons of this garbage left over from our nuke wast and this is a way of getting rid of it easily... It is not right or just ,it is what it is.... I would hope the American people as a whole would stand up and say something about this but the truth is that most Americans are to busy watching "Dancing with the Stars on TV." I feel bad that so many of us Americans are so ignorant!!!

  • My gov't is the most corrupt evil empire on the planet...

  • Depleted uranium is basicly uranium ! Think of it like this ( simplest way i can explain it ) , you take some uranium and you remove some things from it that you want to use for nuclear weapons / power and the rest of you turn it to Depleted uranium ! the only difference between uranium and Depleted uranium is that Depleted uranium is radiating 40% less !

  • Can someone explain what depleted uranium is, is it like a bomb that lets out gases that can get into the water so that when the pregnant mum drinks the water her baby is born with deformities? someone help please.

  • SO :

IF RT NEWS DID NOT CONFIRM THAT DU AMMUNITION WAS USED IN LIBYA.

WHY SPEAK OF IT, AS IF IT IS CONFIRMED AND REAL ?!

  • I WOULD APPRECIATE IF PEOPLE, WOULD NOT COME TO MY CHANNEL AND TALK TRASH ABOUT DU BEING USED IN LIBYA

WHEN THERE IS NO [[[[ NO ]]]] EVIDENCE THAT DU AMMUNITION WAS USED IN LIBYA.

  • PEOPLE. DID RT NEWS SAY THAT DU AMMUNITION [[[[ IS ]]] OR [[[ HAS ]]]] BEEN USED IN LIBYA [[[[[ NOOOOO ]]]]] THEY HAVE RAISED A QUESTION. THE QUESTION NEEDS TO BE PROPERLY ADRESSED. THERE IS NO REASON WHY NATO - WOULD USE DU AMMUNITION IN LIBYA BECOUSE THE OPERATION INVOLVES MISSILE AIRSTRIKES!!! DU AMMUNITION AND PRACTICE IS USED FOR WAR SITUATIONS. RT NEWS IS RAISING THE QUESTION. AND TO ADRESS THIS, LIBYA WILL HAVE TO DO INVESTIGATIONS
