Votum Dance Company is a professional Christian ballet company based in Fort Worth, TX, that demands high standards of excellence, athleticism, technical skill and artistry. Votum is composed of classically trained dancers and features a blend of classical ballet and modern dance techniques including the Horton, Graham, and Limon modern dance styles.

Our choreography presents physical pictures and representations of prayer, utilizing different forms and genres of music presenting innovative and conceptual themes. We collaborate with different musicians, choreographers, and artists performing pieces to original musical compositions while incorporating different artistic elements such as performing to the spoken Word of God, working with live musicians and vocalists, and creating spontaneous improvisational pieces. "Votum" is the Latin word that literally means: "prayer, wish, desire, vow, promise to God."

Votum Dance Company incorporates the vision of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO, viewing our dancers as an image of the dancers who stand before the throne of God night and day, dancing for him as a form of prayer, worship, and intercession. When we pray with our voices, God moves at the sound of our voice, and when we dance, he moves in response to our physical prayer.
