Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of the Magic Show. This week we're going to bring you some of the most exciting footage from Austin you've yet to see, which is that of the new Magic Online UI redesign. There was many a mention from the Magic Online developers on how they were getting a "UI Expert" from Nokia and Microsoft to come help fix the ugly Magic Online interface, and it shows. And we'll also feature a few video extras from PT: Austin. Let's go!

  • so does that mean i'll be able to uninstall my client and still play with the url and have all my cards?

  • Based on all I've seen, yes. This is, of course, a ways off (mid-late 2010 at best)

  • Wait, how'd he cast three Canyon Minotaurs with eight Forests?...apparently as an added feature, basic lands can tap for any color!

  • It's a tech demo, just to show you examples. It's not actually 100% working.

  • A 1 minute and thirty seconds introduction. Seems necessary.

  • @xVSxNightamre same here.

  • It's an all commons format you play both 0 rares and 0 uncommons. Hymn To Tourach was made an uncommon online pretty much to keep it away from peasant magic. There are commons though online that will cost up to $5. Its cheaper but not all cards will be found for a few pennies I think any of the popularly played commons will be $1-2

  • do you know when these updates came or are coming into affect cause was kind of interested in playing magic online

  • Watch this episodes online at oneclickshowz. net

  • Do you think the new magic online interface will work on most low end pc's?

  • Any idea if this is every going to come out? I would probably play if the current MTGO wasn't so ugly.

  • This does indeed sound like a commercial.

99.9% of the a-list video games on the PC do not run in a browser. Coincidence? I think not.

That WoTC/Hasbro is already pimping a Silverlight client also worries me, as they're probably going to end up shipping a prototype instead of investing in a proper development cycle.

The quality of the imagery (which is really all you've shown), it is still only on-par with the decade(s) old Microprose game and leagues behind the current x-box live version.
