Kylie Minogue's recording career begins, when her cover version of the Little Eva hit The Loco-Motion spends seven weeks at number one in her native Australia and leads to a contract with UK-based record producers Stock Aitken Waterman.

"Put Yourself in My Place" is a song by Kylie Minogue, released as the second single from her 1994 album Kylie Minogue. The single was released on November 14, 1994 by Deconstruction and Mushroom, and was written and produced by Jimmy Harry.

The music video was a success. The video, directed by Kier McFarlane, had Minogue recreate the opening sequence of the Jane Fonda film Barbarella. In 1995 the video won the award for the "Best Australian Video" at the Australian ARIA Music Awards.

There are several different edits of the music video, some with different and more sexualised scenes than others, with Kylie showing more skin. Some also feature different edits of the actual song, for example, the album version and the radio edit.
