FALLING STAR Movie Trailer

Once front man of the '90s mega-hit, boy band Eye Candy, Bobby Starrís solo career is definitely so low! Eight years later, headlining kids' birthday parties, bowling alleys and bar mitzvahs, Starr is desperate to reclaim his chart-topping, glam years.

Booked to perform at the grand opening of the Catskills' first kosher casino, managed by Orthodox Jews, Starr's dated, hip-swiveling show meets a less-than-enthusiastic reception from the crowd and the ruling rabbis... except for the owner's daughter Rebekkah, who is a big fan.

About to enter an arranged conservative marriage, Rebekkah is quietly contemplating a last act of rebellion and Starr - with some behind-the-scenes assistance - is planning his comeback with a modernized show, right there in the schlocky Starlight Lounge.

His career may be over and the odds are better of finding kosher pork chops at the buffet... But love may have just begun. A gentle satirical look at Orthodox Judaism and Kabbalah, this romantic-comedy stars Adam Pascal (Rent), Amy Davidson (TV's - 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter) and Natasha Lyonne (American Pie, Slums of Beverly).

There were a bunch of laugh-out-loud moments (I don't want to spoil anything, but the pasta scene - oh my god, that totally happens!)

Also: this is a really cute film that the whole family can see...

This is such a fun film. Catskills? Check. Adam Pascal? Check. And the ending is the best part...unexpected and fresh.

i only watched the movie because the motorcycle group Hillel's Angels....The guy that almost ran bobby over with the mustache was my dad :D hes in the movie for 2 seconds....it took the whole after noon to film that scene...WOW
