I bought a Custom Royal in 1976 for $35. It was superb. It would do over 100 with 11 people in the car. Yes, I was a reckless child. Mine started differently than yours. Turn the key to "on", and push the neutral button. The starter would automatically disengage when the engine started.
It had 75K miles with the manual in the glove. I drove it for 3 years. Creme & Black 2 tone.
Best instrument panel, save for a '65 Tbird. I loved that car.
my very first car exactly, except I had the 325 engine with the standard cylinder head design, single rocker shaft non-hemi, beautiful car, I would know
