Is 1:30 the slope must be random but the 2 points always in the same line / slope?

my math teacher is pushing us to learn this because were in pre-algabra, doesm't make sence, but she's really stricked, and i stayed after 3 times and didn't get it. but after 8 minutes, i do. you rock!
