McCain is still jealous about his loss to president Obama. It doesn't matter to McCain that bush lied to congress in order to invade Iraq to get revenge for the assassination attempt on his poppy. He desperately wants to find a conspiracy, that doesn't exist, to pin on the president. So until the next conspiracy theory pops up, he'll milk this one for all he can get.

You know, we only have to go back 20 years to see the party of Dole, Specter, and Simpson, all of whom worked routinely with Dem. leaders to pass good legislation. McCain used to be in that group too, but he flushed his legacy down the loo.

very true. The health care reform summit was nothing short of McCain politically grousing at Obama "Hey boy, that's MY seat damn it". It's all sad. The GOP used to be a great party, but the party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, & Eisenhower is now the party of Rush, Backmann, Demint, & Ted Nugent

This is Lee Atwater 101: take their strongest players out in the first inning. They know she's running in 2016, so they're planting seeds now. I guarantee you Fox already has the whole thing broken down into clips with an eye toward how they'll spin it when the time comes. The fact that no fruit will come from it, well, let them find that out the hard way.

There is only ONE reason to drag someone in front of two PUBLIC congressional hearings, and that is to INSULT THEM and try to embarrass them over something very wrong that they did. (See the BP hearings, or the Wall Street CEO hearings.) If you want to know what happened, have an investigation. They did that. All the recommendations were accepted and are being implemented. This is the worst kind of political theater. I dont know what Republicans expected to gain by it.
