I spent the summer of '78 in The States and they were talking about a British invasion then! I seem to remember much of the top 20 being British artists The Police, Dire Straits, Gerry Rafferty, Queen, Clapton, Genesis, Kate Bush, 10cc, ELO, The Jam, Chris Rea, Robert Palmer, The Clash, Rod Stewart, Elvis Costello, Al Stewart, The Sweet and not forgetting the Who and The Rolling Stones who were still making hits in the States in that year! - even the Bee Gees if you want to include them . . .

The Beatles os maiores de todos os tempos.

I was there and have the 45's & LP's to prove it! Many people are mistaken and include the late 60's as being part of the British Invasion. The invasion came in 3 parts - the initial wave of '64, secondary wave in '65, and the minor wave in '66. By '67, the music was different - even the Beatles & Stones music had entered the beginning of the Psychedelic era. Any post '66 British artist cannot be counted as coming from the British Invasion. Sorry, comment restrictions won't let me elaborate.

@HiImKodyB Well ....No. The So called "British Invasion" was over by then. It has a great deal more to do than just being from England. Yardbirds yes..Zep No.
Zep was NOT part of the Brit invasion of the 60's.

Peter and Gordon, the Rolling Stones, the Animals, The Bachelors, Chad and Jeremy, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Kinks, The Minbenders, The Searchers, The Seekers. Many more bands involved in british invasion. I would have replaced Pink Floyd with Peter and gordon but that's just me
