I loved this movie so much. I cried when Artax died, I believed in Atreyu when he got past the Sphinx Gate, and at the very end when Bastian flew on Falcor, it felt like my heart was flying with them.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore?

Personally I think the songs a tiddly bit better than the movie its made for but the amount of imagination in the movie makes it worth its campiness making its still a good movie.

@TheBookWorm1718 omg are you serious?? I had no idea, I never heard it before! man that must have been awful for the horse and the actor :-( when the horse sunk in the movie, was that it's real death on film? Please forgive my ignorance of this. That is so sad!!

@thrillerknightmare It's worse than that because the horse actually died. They had him on a platform so he would sink into the swamp and they couldn't get it raised again in time. And the boy who played Atreyu was so shaken up by it, he didn't return to filming for 2 weeks.

@MavenSarah Because great things like this are hard to create and there will never be anything like the Never Ending Story it told me to keep on believing and it improved my imagination, without no imagination we have nothing :)
