Back Up Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird Settings Favourites etc

Here I talk about an essential piece of software to have if you use Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird. If you are the same as me, you will have customised it the way you like. To save time doing this all again on a new computer you can use MozBackup.

does the skin or the add ons affect how much ram mozilla takes in? because mozilla is a ram hog but i use mozilla because it is way better than IE.

addons do, i dunno about skins. Are you really that bothered about RAM? If you are it may be time to upgrade :-)

no im not im just asking. i have a quadcore 2.6 ghz 2gb of ram and a windows vista business OE and a nvidia gforce 256 mb video card. im a gamer so i like to upgrade alot

wow nice. Well Firefox 3 is aimed at fixing the resource issues, people have found it using a lot less RAM.

how do you install it, (when u ave the backup on a pin) u have to download the progr.??? to the new comp,? and use the restore function???

i just had to reinstall xp and i used this program, it works great i had no problems with any of my extensions (knock on wood).

Not bad software :) I use FEBE to backup my Firefox things. It's very good to, it has timed backup (I have set it every sunday at 19.30) and it tells (or better say, make a sound effect) that it backup firefox.

Only problem that if you have to restore, you have download again FEBE.
