This song was also released on the Revilot label also, then leased to Atco records. This is the b side to A New Day Begins.

  • @charmcity401 SO TRUE!

  • thanks, alan stratford,ct

  • I'm also a very proud owner of this record. Never letting it go.

  • thanks for posting this up on u tube i like george clinton and i love finding (new) old songs thanks again, alan

  • Like so many of George's songs during this R 'n' B/pre-funk era, this one is an underrated masterpiece. I'm obsessed over "A New Day Begins".

  • Amazing videoclip! ahah nice song.

  • So beautiful..

  • that's vivian lewis who's deceased but yes both pat and vivian both sang with george in the 60's.

  • @tibiafinger, mother of George Clinton's son Tracy "Treylewd" Lewis and background singer for Isaac Hayes and others. She released only a handful of singles on the Solid Hit label, several with George Clinton. She apparently co-wrote I'll Wait/Stay. The A-side is Warning, written and produced by Leon Ware.

  • Sound Cool,But Who's Pat Lewis?

  • @tibiafinger, I have a scratchy 45 with a version by Pat Lewis, very similar to this one.

  • These songs are amazing & shows the style of PARLIAMENT-FUNKADELIC was always there even in the early recordings. It's too bad George & PARLIAMENT is no together. And the only remaining FUNKADELIC is Billy, Bernie, Gary, Bootsy & George. Ray died, Calvin is persuing gospel & Fuzzy & Grady is the Original P. I love the P-FUNK ALL STARS but I miss the original PARLIAMENT .

  • I'll Stay was done by their alter ego Funkadelic. It maybe hard to find the "testify album because of the collapse of Revolt records. Go to the offical P-Funk web site and see if it has a discography

of all of Parliments early hits and work from there. Also check out the UK Parliament release that may help. Hope this helps Ikaprick stka P-funk Kidd
