Prima aprilis, latin for the first of April ... a special day in year when most of us is bound to get pranked of fooled by someone about something...

Well this is no joke, Episode 35 is here, finally after quite some time. Those delays start to be a recurring theme in this series, hehe ... But I can't help it, I got a job and other responsibilities, anyway, I'm still glad that you put up with me for that long, and I hope that you'll see this show to it's very finale.
Happy Easter guys!

Grab you beer, or anything you enjoy the most, and sit back and start watching :-)

In this episode of Pacifist's approach:

1. MedSci madness, and return of the memorable theme
2. Voice of our late guide
3. Cyberpunkish alternative endings
4. Some second guessing

WAIT TILL THE VIDEO IS FULL PROCESSED, THEN WATCH IN HQ

  • You know the black eggs, do we ever see what grows inside them? Or get any clue beside the beating heart?

  • @Crebralassassin No, not really - there's only a hint by Shodan saying that the creatures that grow inside of those cocoons will be invincible for the player no matter how much he pumps on with implants and stimulants.

  • @ShephardReborn I wonder if Shodan was lying or just speculating......after all how can she possibly know?

  • @Crebralassassin She's proud of her Children, every mother is :-) Shodan's using every opportunity to express her disparage over humanity and player. That talk about black eggs yet another occasion to point out how her creations are better then humans. However she recognizes the need to cooperate with player to destroy the Many because ultimately what she despises most is disobedience from anyone who she considers inferior. Player is obedient, unlike her insolent children.

  • Love that quick little Silent Hill 2 reference, :D

  • There's a lot more references in this series, not usually games though ;-)

  • About those alternate paths you were talking about, it would be a blast to play as the one of the antagonist characters for once. Where upon starting staring a new game the player would have to choose which side to join. Each side will have it's own evolutions, story, and upgrades(Maybe even it's own HUD). This would require a massive amount of work on the developers behalf essentially creating 3 games in one.

  • ENDING 4: All the Value Rep machines become sentient, beat the crap out of SHODAN, the Many and Goggles, then fly off to terrorize the rest of the galaxy with unreasonable prices.

  • 7:00 damn that was epic!

  • I'm guessing that extra area in Ops is down the hallway that was blocked in the "turret forest"? It would make sense, considering it's nearby that terminal Goggles needed to interact with to allow SHODAN's transfer from the Von Braun to the Rickenbacker. Not to mention that there are three supercomputers.

So yeah, not much of a stretch to guess that the mainframe is in Ops and the Many destroyed the hallway leading to it to prevent Goggles from tampering with Xerxes directly -w-

  • its just self defense. even a pacifist cracks sometime in order to live.

  • Have been playing System Shock 1 for the first time for a few weeks now... What a great game! The controls are a bit complex in the original, but with mouselook and high resolution it becomes as immersive as today's games are.

It's amazing considering that it's from a different era than SS2, but I'm finding that in some ways it's more advanced than SS2, and I'm definitely enjoying it, a lot!

Such a shame computer gaming has gone completely Hollywood since around 2003.

  • Great videos! Can't wait for Episode 36!
