The Flying Bee Ranch sits 20 miles southeast of Scottsbluff, Nebraska in the scenic Horseshoe Bend of the Wildcat Hills. Located in an area of rich early American history, most of the ranch's 3,302 deeded acres +/- was originally settled under the Homestead Acts of the late 1800's and early 1900's. The varied topography has made this working ranch one of the most scenic in the area. The impressive improvements and state of the art cattle facilities have made the Flying Bee a first class operation. The ranch has been cross fenced into nine large pastures and four horse pastures. There is 122.5 acres +/- of irrigated farm ground with a seven tower Lockwood pivot system with drop nozzles. In 2010 the farm ground was reseeded into grass and alfalfa. Facilities for working cattle on the ranch include a 36' X 108' Morton Building with 12' side walls, 480 feet of feed bunk with a concrete apron for four feeding pens, and 8 other corrals and sorting pens. Adequate water is available throughout the ranch. In 1999 a custom built 3,652 sq. ft. ranch home was erected. Comprised of four bedrooms and 3 baths, this beautiful home has large picture windows offering breathtaking views of the Wildcat Hills. There are two other older homes and a cabin on the property as well. Other improvements include a small horse barn, a three sided pole shed, a machine shed, a large grain bin, a garage, outdoor pipe stalls for horses, and numerous other outbuildings. The impressive improvements, state of the art working facilities and the breath taking scenery have made the Flying Bee Ranch nice enough to be used as a first class dude ranch or a great place to call home for a working cattle operation. The level irrigated ground on the front of the ranch to the rolling hills and steep pine dotted bluffs at the back has made this ranch ideal for a large variety of wildlife including elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wild turkeys and pheasants. Currently the Flying Bee is being utilized as a working cattle ranch, but has also been opened to the public as a bed & breakfast and campground with a cabin rental and facilities for boarding horses.
