@epicnessinacan Well maybe, but in the game they have less of a brain and more of a hive mind, so maybe there would need to be some kind of insect, like ant DNA. Then they will obey without fear or any kind of question in their mind whatsoever. You know, dogs can be cowards and they do disobey sometimes.

You know that got me to thinking. I'll bet it wouldn't be too hard to take the DNA from several different species of animals, the rat being amongst them, combine the genes and create some ravenous beast like the zergling. Who knows what abominations have already been created in military laboratories around the world. They would be perfect for military application. Fast, fearless, can burrow to hide or dig under fences and walls, razor sharp claws and teeth, and kevlar tough exoskeletons.
