Dr. Charles Stanley: Living Through Your Circumstances

About a week or so back I had posted a prayer request. I was going through a very difficult time adjusting to where God had put me. I wanted to know when I could go back home and also how to deal with this unpleasant situation.

Very shortly afterwards God led me to this sermon - it was His reply and pretty much answered everything - that I would have to stay longer than I wanted to and to deal with this as outlined in the sermon.

In the end God also showed me one of the reasons why I'm here - to learn to be content even in a difficult situation - just as Paul the Apostle had. I'm not in jail as Paul was (although it sure feels like it) and I don't think I'm of the same caliber as Paul, but it's nice to know that we went through the same thing!

My heart goes out to Dr. Stanley with the upmost love and respect. There are only FEW godly real men such as him. He is one of my favourite HOLY BIBLE teachers and so is Tim Lahaye. I wish all men were like him. Too bad most so called godly men always hurt me. Thanks for the vid uploader. ;-D GOD bless Dr. Stanley. I liked and favourited it. ^^

There is no circumstance that JESUS cannot change if He wants to. I've learned a couple of things about being in bad circumstances. 1.) JESUS might be trying to get our attention to come back to Him, and 2.) He might be granting us the priviledge of suffering with Him. Take unrequited love for instance. Non of us has ever been rejected as bad as He has. If you love someone who doesn't love you just think of all the people that JESUS loves who don't love Him. That put my sadness in check.

Thank you for posting this sermon. The Lord worked through it to help me in a big way. I'm having difficulty focusing on Him with a particular long-term situation in my life and it's good to be reminded that He has a purpose for keeping me here and that I need to continue to look to and trust Him. @MissRiki1987 You're right Dr. Stanley is an excellent Bible teacher. I loved his book Eternal Security. I can't wait to get his book How To Listen To GOD. I think that it will be a page turner too.

You just keep leaning on JESUS and forget about what some pastors say. I've heard some pastors & "Christian men" who don't even know their Bible say some pretty dumb things. JESUS loves women and He did more to lift their position in society more than anyone else. He's awesome!
