yes elementel73 I too was annoyed- luckily my sis made me a video (because I wouldnt shut up speculating about what happened next) You may want to check it out- search sapphire and steel ground beneath her feet and you should find it.

If they ever revive this I'll be willing to play a role. I'm not quite tough enough to be Steel though. Maybe Paper or Cotton Wool.

Now THAT'S a sucky ending, I guess that's where the budget finally gave out!

BTW, if anyone's ever seen the new Battlestar Galactica series, remember Tricia Helfer and James Callis (they were No.6 and Baltar) now, they would be great for Sapphire and Steel if it ever got remade!

The ending feels even worse than I expected. So many questions left unanswered; what an awful way to end such an awesome series! It feels so hopeless....now I'm depressed. Although I suppose that was the intention. :(

@LightEnchantress This was the last episode in the series, but if there had been another series, it most likely would have involved some of the others (i.e. Lead) rescuing them. I still think this programme could be reproduced with solid actors and creative writers.

@spanner2806 I think, going by something Sapphire says in it, the transients answer to a higher power, that must be who wanted revenge. The transients were just assassins paid to go and do it. And Silver didn't know from the start that they were coming he just knew something was gonna happen

This is so sad! I was up to part nine, but I couldn't take it anymore and skipped to the end. I should have stopped at assignment five. I just have to realize that this is not really the ending, it wasn't planned to be, and they really do escape to go on as they were before. At least they are trapped together. Silver will help, or else they will come up with something. I'm going to buy Sapphire and Steel, but I don't think I'm going to watch this one. Must keep telling myself they'll be fine!!
