this final battle is not hard because of the difficulty of the boss, but for the crappy fllght controls of the mech

in just one mission lost planet becomes: ninja gaiden, gundam, blazing angels, what else?

Was there an update for this game or something? Because I can't use the sword unless I hang absolutely still for a second or two. Which means I have to fly up to him, wait for the drift to stop, charge up the sword, THEN strike. And by that time he's usually gone already, or firing an entire blast of his vulcan lasers into me at point-blanc range. Seriously, apart from the vulcan laser, I can't do aything else while manouvering.
