We pay a high price for high fashion. The price tag digs deeper than you think. Fashions change and are thrown away. New clothes take more material, more water, more transporting, more oil...all causing more pollution and depleting world resources...many non-renewable.

The fashionRIP Project uses recyCouture and reFashioned clothing as visual elements that signify how fashion and lifestyle affect us all. The other parts of the installation- set, photos, art and video- invite viewers to query that which is necessary for living a life of true quality Each chapter has a different set, dresses, video, art works, etc and challenges a different issue in this "discussion" of sustainable lifestyles.

The "Species on the Verge" video will be done shortly. In the mean time, take a look behind the scenes of this shoot; all done without money changing hands. That's right. With collaborative volunteering and sharing of credit - this production was done without dollars changing hands.

Seattles Fremont Abbey Art Center kindly hosted this shoot.
