First to the Top Coalition Press Conference 7/20/10

Governor Bredesen, Education Commissioner Tim Webb and former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist launched the First to the Top Coalition, a broad-based, statewide alliance of more than 30 business, community and education groups that have joined the reform effort for Tennessee's public schools.
In anticipation of the new TCAP scores, to be released in late September, the First to the Top Coalition has announced "Expect More, Achieve More: Raising the Bar in Tennessee Schools." This campaign is designed to raise parent and public awareness of higher academic standards across the state.
