Mukunda das from Detroit singing his infamous "Pump up the Krishna". What can I say? It's from the early 90's. Terrible synthesized music, bad lyrics and singing, funny dancing kids in matching polka dot outfits and unrelated shots of beaten down Detroit ghetto. it's so bad...it's almost good.

"Krishna says offer him a raspberry shake, not meat fish or eggs or a bloody plate"!!!!

  • I actually dig this a lot. Does this guy have any other songs out? Is he on FB?

  • @eastgoast

wow, seriously? He put out several albums in the early 90's...every song is worse than the previous...it's like a garland of bad music, nonrhythmic rap, and terrible lyrics.

He is not on FB....but if you go to the Detroit Iskcon temple on a Sunday you may just catch a glimpse of his toothless grin, playing the djembe off beat.

  • @krsnamayi HAHA. that's funny as fuck man. I liked his flow on this track. If it's all about krishna I would listen to his product. I'm in Hawaii, but maybe one day I'll stop by to give thanks. *** i'm still cracking up at your reply. good shit

  • @eastgoast

Ok you make me feel like I should pull out a few of his old records and copy them for you....

  • Oh, how glorious are they whose tongues are chanting Your holy name! Even if born in the families of dog-eaters, such persons are worshipable. Persons who chant the holy name of Your Lordship must have executed all kinds of austerities and fire sacrifices and achieved all the good manners of the Āryans. To be chanting the holy name of Your Lordship, they must have bathed at holy places of pilgrimage, studied the Vedas and fulfilled everything required. --Srimad Bhagavatam 3.33.7
