this is my late 60's, early 70's RCA stereo. It has a solid state tuner, 4-speed turntable. For copyright reasons I only put 30 seconds of songs. I do not own any right and they're just used to demonstrate the workings.
let this same model get away from yesterday for $20 at a thrift store I called back today to see if they still had it but it was gone oh well still hunting
I believe the second letter in the model number of RCA's phonographs from the mid 60's to the mid 70's refers to the year it was made. My parents' 1968 RCA console had the model number VJT19W, so I'm gusessing yours was made around 1970. Those RCA consoles had great sound; my parents' had bass that would literally shake the walls, and it sounds like yours does, too!
Great sound that RCA was known for, and that floating cartridge couldn't be beat! I remember RCA used to advertize that it could even play a warped record, and it could!
