He seems kind of like he took a dive in every way when he got involved with Californication. Prior to it he seemed more playful and clear-eyed, and now he looks and acts much older than he is. I was kind of disappointed when I 1st saw he put himself in a scuzzy show, and now life is imitating art I think.

I have to say I like him better as his characters. He just appears a bit too uninvolved with people; it's not very meaningful. As far as someone's comment about being married and preferring others to your wife, that's crap. A lot of people enjoy their marriages, you just never hear about them. I don't think it's simply "normal" to want to step out because you're married. Monogamy is not interesting to people who are hard to please, which is most of the entertainment industry for one thing...
