@Tyler64381 good question. I believe because judaism, christianity and islam have the father covered. The mother has been forgotten and needs to be remembered and honored. At least this is my belief.

I remember when my mother used to play this song when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I had memorized the chant and she used to get worried that my christian grandmother would hear me singing it.
