  • What is the oldest bus order Jefferson County currently owns?

  • @MrWill1985 The oldest bus that you'll see anymore would be a 1990. These are used as spare buses only.

  • i could watch the comings and goings of the compound for hours. awesome video, man. be especially cool to see it in the early am when everyone is heading out at the same time. what kind of hours do you all keep as drivers? is it hard to stay awake in the middle of the day waiting for your afternoon runs to start?

  • @pk33617 I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The hours we keep are all different as far as when we leave to start our runs are concerned. Buses leave in the morning one or two at a time spread out over more than an hour, so there is no massive convoy going out the gate. Most of us have 3 or four hours off mid day and people tend to do everyday chores and shopping then and naps too.

  • On 2:03 what is he saying "You'll go back",

    please relpy

also on 2:18 and 2:21 loud air brakes

i love the sound of good air brakes

  • I'm not really sure. I think it was something about the camera. That was a couple of years ago and I'm rather old. Those Fords have the loud "barking" air brakes for sure. The Internationals don't. Can hear a Ford coming long before you see it.

  • @yellowbusguy My school system I formerly attended the oldest is now 2000 and they are currently spare buses along with the 2001 order. And with the 2001 order being a small order I wouldnt even be surprised if the 2002 order was also spares. I know when the 1990s were the oldest with the 91s only being 14 buses the 90s, 91s, and 93s were all the spare fleet in the 2002-2003 school year. Usually everywhere uses the oldest buses as spares.

  • @pk33617 thats kinda the same for us but like during 9:00 through 2:30 you are free to do what ever you want go home go back to sleep, but you have to come back around 2:30 third bell drivers (me) leave at 2:35 and come back to the compound about 4:20pm

  • Those are alot of buses...

  • Have a look at my video , "Bus Walkaround" for a better look.
