For a long time I have been struggling to find a plant perfect for breeding and decorating Ranchu Goldfish tanks. After numerous trial and error with various plants, I finally managed to grow and multiply these plants in abundance in the presence of goldfish.

Every two weeks I harvest these plants by cutting them up and making new bunches for a different tank. These plants grows almost half an inch to an inch per day.

They are perfect for breeding and decorating thanks for notorious goldfish that are famous for biting and digging plants from the root.

These plants are green foxtail plants.

This is the newly set up tank with freshly cut fox tails from another tank. I will take a video of this same tank after two weeks.

  • hi so i was reading the comments and you said that you used soil and then gravel on top for your plants? now how does that work? sorry im a newbie at fish tanks, plants, fishes, etc. but i want learn. thanks

  • @GREATESTEVER86 There is a tutorial video on my channel. Click on goldfishhub and go through the videos that I have. Lately i have changed the way I plant these plants. I am using cloth instead of containers for soil. You can see that in one of my videos in my Channel. Youtube doesn't allow me to post links to my videos here.

  • What kind of lights are you using?

  • @taratarannosaurus two 4' Phillip 6500 from home depot that cost $2.65 each.

  • what's that you used to plant the plants in?

  • @sheathed011790 Those are Utensil trails from Walmart. Put top soil then gravel.

  • @paulaxa1 No. Not even one goldfish can be kept in a 5 gallon tank. They will die and live a very miserable live before their death. You need at lease 30 to 40 G.

  • AWWWH UR GOLDFISHES ARE SO FAT AND CHUBBY AND CUTE <33
