No they don't. They use digital performer and elektron machine drums. I wouldn't call making patches in max/msp writing software either.

It bothers me when people feel the need to make up these facts in order to make autechre seem like gods. They make great music, and lets leave it at that.

beautifull rithm

its easy to modulate an image to go with a sounndtrack; for example those bars in WMP. It just takes basic knoledge of scripting.

if software is written to "just" make one video i think that would be kinda waste of creative ressources.(since programming is an art too)
and of course its a pity that there arent more vids done with it.

i was thinking the same when i first witnessed the terrific gantz graf video.
it chris and his crew did an software app just for this one video then its a shame i isnt used fore more.
