i was never a communist though i used to hang with the troskyists in 81 for a month or two i've always hated stalin and coansidered him as great an evil as hitler..
at one time i considered myself a democratic socialist/social democrat..that sorta failed too..and i think i tend to consider myself third way blair/clintonish keynesian..
i've always had a soft place in my heart for anti aithoritarian anrchists..when i was a punk they had the best parties- peace.

Except that the most effective collectivized areas in Spain during the Civil War were anarchist, meaning there wasn't a state. Under anarchist collectivization, production rose dramatically. It wasn't until Stalin and the Republic ordered the collectives destroyed that the Fascists won.

collectivization was a disaster everyhwere it was tried..and resulted in milions of deaths..giving a poor man a little private property gives them a stake in democratic captialism

In various times and places, land reform has encompassed the transfer of land from ownership — even peasant ownership in smallholdings — to government-owned collective farms; it has also, in other times and places, referred to the exact opposite: division of government-owned collective farms into smallholdings.

the collectivization of land everywhere it occured was a total disaster..and in the ukraine and during the chinese cultural revolution resulted in tens of millions of death mostyl due to starvation and n
murder..it was theft..land reform giving some land to those with none if done proplerly should have been the way to go
