I really hate all this conspiratorial talk because it takes away from real issues. The power of a conspiracy theory is that usually there is a grain of truth that people latch onto and attach their own rubbish to it. The grain of truth here is that "money does talk". The real issue is the lack of investment by big pharma in diseases affecting developing countries. e.g Aids, malaria. Why? There is less profit.

Without going into the mutations and the myriad of genetic causes, it makes absolutely no sense for any single organisation to hide the "cure" for cancer. The profits would be tremendous. At any given time 1 in 3 of us will get cancer. A company that patents "the cure" will invariably make a fortune. They will wipe their competitors off the market. They could charge anything for their cure - and people will pay if a positive outcome guaranteed.

People who talk about cancer in terms of a single cure do not understand how a tumour is formed. There is no single cure. Cancer is a collection of diseases which results in the same thing; a growth of a tumour. The conspiracy theory that the cure for cancer has already been invented but is being suppressed by big pharma is a complete fallacy by people who have little understanding of this complicated disease process - or even an understanding of business.

It's ongoing battle that you will not win but if you fight you won't be defeated either.
