Is it at all possible that these songs were written by Andersson and Ulvaeus for a possible early 90s reunion? THe stumbling block being that Faltskog wouldn't participate.

I've often wondered what the truth really was behind ABBA's failure to regroup after Chess. Was it Faltskog? Frida always seemed so certain that they would be working together again. B&B continued to write and produce songs for other artists. Why not ABBA. Seems weird.

I don't think Agnetha was the cause of the split up and for a reunion in the 90s. It's always very easy to blame her. I think B&B just wanted to do something else and they still don't want to reunite. Let's hope Frida and Agnetha will do something together in near future.

The B n B compositions during the ABBA era was by no means under par, but I tend to find the post ABBA compositions (at least some of them) more heartfelt and in many ways stronger than back in those days. Because of this I can't see ABBA doing songs from this album, Mio My Mio... and what else.

Just to be clear - I'm not blaming Agnetha for any split - there never was a split. B&B initiated the time out to develop CHESS - a project where thye decided not to include Frida or Agnetha. I've often wondered how CHESSwould have worked out as an ABBA / Rice collaboration.

What I am saying is that I DO believe any further work from ABBA beyond 1984 was the result of Agnetha's unwillingness to get involved in the whole machine. If so, it was a brave, brave decision.
