THE FLASH CLASS: Character Setup Part 1

The way a character is organized in Flash is essential to the speed and enjoyment of the 2D digital animation workflow. Without proper setup, the artist becomes confused and frustrated fighting against the program rather than working with it.

I'm not sure which version I was using. These setup techniques will work for Flash 8.

I must say, CS3 is the best build of Flash I have ever worked with. I saw a preview of CS4 at the Best in the Southwest conference, and it will change everything. Animating characters in Flash will be so much easier, and much of the character setup info here may become irrelevant.
