damn...kinda feel bad for you Mr. Robinson, but don't be down...if the Dream Shake was put on Wilt and Russell, they wouldn't be able to handle it either....
Give Robinson credit, he admitted he was dominated. And he's a Hall OF Famer. Hakeem was no joke. He destroyed Shaq then and would've destroyed him later when the rules came into affect.
Yeah Bonzi was just in the right place at the right time. A good player in his prime but not a great one. Olajuwon's playoffs ppg were as high as 29 ppg till his downfall. It doesnt matter he is still the best postseason Center of All time. If MJ only won one championship we would say Kobe is better then him, but were not cuz he like Hakeem were the men in the postseason. 18.1 points per game just does not get it!
Duncan just got the job done. He is not given credit he is better then McHale and the Mailman. Olajuwons destruction of Robinson was not even his greatest serious. Check out Olajuwan versus Seattle in the 1987 Western Conference Semi Finals. Give me the stats of head to head matchup of Robinson vs Hakeem in their prime and if Robinson's numbers are even remotely close I will bow to your argument.
obviously you did not get the sarcasm in my comments! I was saying if Robinson can be given excuses as to why he was not great then so can Hakeem!! No way i make no excuses for Hakeem, he fell off because he was not the player he once was. If Robinson dominated Olajuwon it was during his downfall. Olajuwon dominated Robinson period as well as every other center during his prime. I do not make excuses for Hakeem and no I believe Duncan is one the best forwards of all time!
So no, his playoffs numbers a few seasons does not make him a legend, as my point about Bonzi Wells points out how stupid a comment that is.
Hakeem's stats were very similar to Robinson's, only he failed in their matchups repeatedly. He got the better of Robinson that one year, and somehow you think that erases all his other failures against Robinson. Sorry, but they don't.
Robinson and Hakeem have the same amount of rings, so that's all that matters as far as playoffs go.
I guess Bonzi Wells is a legend too, because he does well in the playoffs even though he gets his shit pushed in by better players in the regular season.
Olajuwon got crushed by Robinson during the regular season, and in fact did NOT dominate him at any point in the playoffs besides this one series that hakeem dick suckers like yourself cling to, and pretend all that regular season dominance Robinson had over Hakeem doesn't matter.
