Tool boxes come in all different shapes and sizes. http://go.askthebuilder.com/NewsletterSignupNow Tim Carter shares new tool box and tool storage solutions. A new light weight plastic toolbox has storage compartments on top of the lid for small items. Inside is a tray and a large storage area below the tray. There are other tool storage options. An example is a large piece of canvas which fits inside and over a crate. There are pockets inside the crate area for large tools and supplies and then more pockets outside the crate for smaller items. The best part of this storage crate is that it is on wheels and has a folding handle. You don't have to carry your tools around, just roll it to the worksite. Another option is a tool pouch. This is smaller and holds a few small tools and clips onto your belt. There are many choices of tool boxes out there depending on what your needs are. Watch this AsktheBuilder.com video for more details.

  • I have the "milk carton" style bag, it really impressed my friends, but tools got lost in all the handy compartments and dust fills up in it too, I blow it out with compressed air.

  • @zmanifest who lives in antarctica and has butter fingers these days?

  • @AsktheBuilder "Here's a modern tool box,it's made out of plastic it's lightweight it won't rust." Yeah but the problem with plastic is when it freezes and you drop it or hit it, it will either crack or get broken.

  • @AsktheBuilder Nice review though :-)

  • The only one that looked feasible was the small pouch that you put on your belt buckle.

  • I only really want to put my electronic stuff in one, I like the 2nd one but its a little huge. All I really need is one that can hold my screws, screwdeiver, soldering iron, current project, LEDs, clips, pliers.. whatever. Maybe I can pick up a miniature version of that at Michaels, like a scrapbook version XD

  • I like the first one.

  • I have an old tool box like the First RED one.

From the Union Steel Chest Corporation, I don`t think that Company exists anymore!!
