Update: Afte this peice was broadcast by the Mum was summarily discharged from Dumfries Infirmary on Tuesday (30th November), ignoring NHS guidelines. I was only given 5 minutes official warning of her dischage by a Staff Nurse on the telephone.
Mum had to be reamitted as an emergency at 5am on Saturday morning (4th December) after trying to stand. As Mum later described something "Snapped" in her lower back. We spent 12 hours in A&E. Mum to be discharged Monday.
This poor woman has finally been diagnosed by a neurologist who identified a slipped disc that she needs surgery to get pain relief. Quite possibly had she been diagnosed correctly months and months ago she would not have to have suffered so and endured the indignant treatments.
