The good things he's done? Like Bush slowing down evolution, dropping average wages for all except the top 20%, having the middle-class mortgage itself to death, creating a cesspool of neo-liberalism where workers produce more but are paid less, and the devaluation of the dollar for the "revaluation" of the Chinese yen, and trying to privatize Social Security ?

And that doesn;t even touch on his Foreign Policy!

In the first speech he was talking about something he knew about and rehearsed. See the key is to repeat a catching phrase like "stay the course" or call your opponents one name over and over, like calling the person a "flip flopper". It's branding. It's what marketing companies do to us all the time. When he had to speak more, I think more people started to see that we had elected an idiot.
