@Jivette66 She probably sufers from PTSD ... Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The father may still "guilt" her into having feelings for him which further messes up the daughter. The father's a mutant wannabe rapist and the mother's a write off. Question is, where do her brother and sister come in a say what they experienced with the parents. Were they abused too? Do they remember the shooting? Have any of the family members gone through counselling for the incidents?

Why don't I believe a word she says?
She can't remember the shooting but she can remember being assaulted.
She says she was full of drugs an alkohol during the shooting but yet there was nothing detected by drug tests. She remembers exactly what kind of drugs she took. And what surprizes me the most, she has become friends with her father - who assaulted her???

I'd really like to see more about her family. They are all quiet and withdrawn not in a guilty sense but just something isn't right with the whole family and I have so many questions....I haven't watched all of this but I'd love to know what her older siblings think about the family and the situation, as well I'd like to learn more about the relationship between the father and Brenda's cellmate, did Brenda have anything to do with that.
