Animatronics tutorial - Chapter 3 - Making the fiberglass mold

Footage excerpted from "Movie Animatronics - Building a radio controlled mechanical mask" instructional DVD set. This tutorial covers the creation of a fibreglass mould with a core on the inside. The mould was used to cast a Platsil Gel-10 skin for the animatronic character. The DVD set contains nearly 5 hours of footage and covers the creation of a radio controlled gorilla mask from start to finish.

I am wanting to produce helmets of Power Ranges and I want to know if I buy an original. Can I use the original as a template without damaging it? And best to use silicone or fiberglass to make the mold? Thanks ..

@moraisdesantana if you make a silicone mold of the original helmet it should be ok. there are many videos on silicone brush-up molds on youtube, you should find something that helps.
