Drum Sound check

This is me doing a soundcheck at the studio. We're experimenting on drum mic placement/techniques for a Jazz setup. Yes, I know I'm overplaying at some parts, but that's the point of soundcheck right? Anyway, the tune is "Killer Joe" and I'm using a Jeff Hamilton Signature brush and the mics used are:

Overhead - Rode NT4 (not used in mix), 2 x Rode NT5
Room mic - 2 x Neumann U87
Kick In - Shure Beta 91 (not used in mix), Shure Beta 52A
Kick Out - Electrovoice RE-20 (not used in mix), Royer R-121
HiHat - Royer R-121
Snare Bot - Shure SM57
Snare Top - DPA 4021 (compact condensers)
Toms (all)- DPA 4021

@Moog167 i doubt Tyler13RA could even read given the way his grammer is. You would think a 5th grader with a girlfriend would act a little more mature. It's so funny that he comments on the song yet he lstens to it and even comes back on line to comment about it some more. Sounds pretty pathetic doesn't it. I guess his Mom took away his crayons and he couldn't color in his coloring book.

How do you think the Royer 121 would do for a minimalist mic setup? Like two overheads and a mic for the kick?

Drums sound great, nice recording. People should more listen to this, than programmed drums with samples/triggersounds.

That kick could definitely use some more attack. The upright in the background is drowning out the kick. It could just be a result of the uploading to YouTube, but it is definitely not nearly up to par with the rest of the band.
