@thebluemaggot Robotech is NOT a rip off of Macross, Robotech is the heavily edited American adaptation of Macross. Harmony gold legally acquired the right to Macross back in the 80's ,the law suits is over U.S ownership of the rest of the Macross franchise.

Macross has absolutley zero to do with Robotech. Robotech is simply a ripoff of macross and two other completely independent animes. Harmony gold, the creators of Robotech have been sued for this many times.

Uhh, wait... yeah it does contradict Robotech. It really, really does. Considering that in Robotech protoculture is some obscure power source, whereas in Macross (the actual story mind you) it was a race of people preceding humanity (which is a large part of Zero's story). I've said it before, I'll say it again. PROTOCULTURE IS PEOPLE!!
