This is in normal mode with traction control enabled. You can see during the acceleration @0:10 there is a point where the engine backs off a little. I assume that's traction control kicking in.

This video is to allow comparisions of what the car is capable of and compare it when the car misbehaves. The car is normally awesome but some days it just likes to be stubborn.

There is a launch mode that is covered by warranty. If you put the car in Race Mode and hold the brake while giving the car gas it will not engage the clutch and will launch the car as soon as you let off the brake at around 2500-3000rpm significantly reducing the 0-60 times.

  • Put the VDC in RACE mode then it wont kick in so abruptly

  • @legacyturboguyin253 Mine is actually very smooth when engaging the gears in race mode or not. Interestingly they've stated that in my service records. The problem I have is with a dead throttle, clutch slipping, getting stuck in gear and not to mention a complete transmission meltdown at 458 miles on the odometer..

  • Hey did you ever get your issue fixed?

  • @kageryu311 No, currently it's being arbitrated through the lemon law.

  • @prt1667 LOL!!!!

  • Phil Goddammned Collins bro?

    FAIL

  • not all gtrs are having transmission failure. There is a little ball inside the transmission that falls out of its holder and then it fails, if this happens Nissan warranties it. Im a master tech ive done two transmissions now.

  • The music is great!

  • @prt1667 compared to what?

  • yo checkout 2012 nissan gtr motor trend they fixed it in the 2012 version

  • thats odd.... Car and driver did their long term test of the car and it seemed to do fine well over 400 mi. but it had to be serviced mutiple times with the transmission, it always seems like a nice car but thats just odd whats happening to your car =P

  • I simply thing the GT-R is overpriced.. insanely overpriced.

  • did i seriously hear you say "were not allowed to turn traction control off"?

nissan.. you guys got a serious thumbs down from me. glad i never bought a GTR.. plz get a lawyer and get your money back. stay with the z06. its a chevy.. it'll last forever
