My favorite song from the Magic and Loss album. It never ceases to cause me to tear up. He wrote about a specific person but it can be anyone in that situation. One of the great modern songwriters.

Only Neil Young sometimes comes close to writing this kind of song I think. I wouldn't know anyone else who could write such lyrics over such a melody.
