L found out what my trouble was. Roller lifter bearing came apart and little needle bearings went all over. The fell into the crankcase and got knocked all over. Just about ruined my engine. I am busy being sick.

Well I've seen the same, and I get rough running and noise when it is it's lowest. I am also looking for an answer. First thought was a sticky pressure relief valve in the oil system.
