  • @69BuffDaddy hahahaha true!

  • Only real men drive girly cars

  • Just purchased one, coming on september the 1st with a new 60 plate, black panther with all the trimmings! FORD FTW XD

  • wel, you can't because the timing belt date is rated on 4-5 years.

    but after that it's fine.

    unles it's a chain, your don't .....

a dohc engine is no way more complex than a pushrond engine.

the advantage you have, the burn more efficient, have hydraulic valve adjust, so you never need to adjust valves, not even take the valve cover off.

deping on the model you choose, thay are rockers or not, but there is no valve adjust and there for wil never start thicking.

  • my car sat in the woods for 20 years without running, and we got her started in ten minuts and drove her out of there too.. show me a new DOHC motor that will do that.

  • try to source a DOHC v8, like the auroa engine or a lexus engine.

i'm sure you would enjoy to drive your car equaly as you do you now.

the fuel money you safe, you invest in regular engine oil changes.

i'm sure such engines run also 50 years or more and they sound sweet.

  • but i stil believe carburators - 2valve/cyll should be on the scrapyard.

(doesn't the gov give your a bonus if you bring it to yard and a buy a new car?)

i prefer country rally any day over mindles dragracing.

i have tested cars like delta HF integrale, rs cosworth's, quarto's.

nothing would change my mind, those old u.s cars are like boats.

    you can't drive them sporty.

  • Dude its all on how the car is tuned. 10.5:1 Compression, MSD Ignition, and Well tuned carb... she aint waistin much. And full Polyeurithane suspension can always help with handling. And turos are for pussys who cant make power.

And even if you did have a turbo im making all my power at high RPM with a 3.23 rear gear ratio. give me just a little bit of a straight edge and your done. But really, you cant compare the two cars. Two eras.. two styles.. made for different things.

  • and how much unburned fuel falls on the street?

    a analog engine can't beat a multivalve.

they just don't get a decent power/fuel ratio.

    wiki: multi valve

the vectra's 2.5 liter engine is very good.

i asure you, you can't beat this car with yours on a country road for some rally racing.

you wil fly out of the first corner.

bring the dam thing to the scrapyard, your wallet wil be happy.

i could add a turbo to it, i'm sure your huge engine wil be left behind.

    but i don't

  • dude thats slow as fuck. my pushrod all steel arracuda made in 69 does zero to 60 in under six.
