Women's Tribunals on Gender and Climate Justice-7 Countries, 3 Continents, 1 Call.mov

Organized by the Feminist Task Force of the Global Call to Action against Poverty, and partner organizations, the womens tribunals on gender and climate justice took in November 2009 in the lead up to the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference in December 2009. 7 Countries, 3 Continents, 1 Call: The seven tribunals took place in Africa, Asia and Latin America, touching on themes with a local context with the aim of putting political pressure on governments at the local, national, regional and international level. Recommendations and proposals were presented to decision-makers at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference and the NGO Klimaforum 2009. The tribunals also provided an organizing and mobilization opportunity to advocate for climate justice, eradication of poverty and gender justice.
