Rotation:
5 8 9
17 4 7

Here the setter (#8) is in front middle rotation. He receives a pass and sets it to the back middle player (#4), who must jump behind the attack line or else it is a violation.

He swings his arms back and takes a large right step while the set occurs. Then he jumps forward with both feet while swinging his arms up. He contacts the ball at the top of his jump and follows through.

Notice also how every player is a potential attacker. The front left player (#5) positions for a strong attack. The front right player (#9, red hair guy) positions for a quick attack, although the setter gets in his way, so he backs off. The back right player (#7, with back knee brace) positions for a weak-side attack. The Libero playing back left (#17, black shirt) gets ready in case the ball is blocked.
