---just stumbled onto this by accident but have to say I did not know there were height limitations for models and I don't think there should be any and I know it is not important and I will get laughed at for this but I really ,REALLY like tall women and the taller they are the better----unfortunately,women who are tall usually do not like short men----(I am 5-7)------well,just wanted to say something----Jackie seemed so sad about it----as well as Marina-------

I totally support your girls 100%. I totally agree that tall women should have full rights to walk in any fashion show. Tall women are just as beautiful as any of these women. I know so many tall women who are beautiful and it's really discriminating to see stuff like this, and I would like to add if anyone who sees this video and agrees to comment and to like it to say you support these women

Some notable & successful tall woman- Gabby Reese did high fashion. She is 6'2" or 6'3". Elle McPherson is 6'1". Brigette Nielson is 6'1". ChristIe Brinkley is 6' (not 5'11"- the other guy was right when he said agencies sometimes downgrade height of models). Brooke Shields, Sigourney Weaver, Jerry Hall, Penny Lancaster (gf of Rod Stewart), Alek Wek, Uma Thurman, Sophie Dahl & Famke Janssen are all 6'. Designer Scott L'wren is 6'3". Mrs. Obama & Mrs. Trump are 5'11". Tall women are great!!!

Since when is 5'8 or 5'9 short for a woman??? O.O

of course,platform heels become other members of TOW .
-
this video is also great.
marina looks very much good in platform super high heels.
Tall women quit complaining. If you dont fit the standard heights, then youre not meant to walk the runway. However this doesnt mean you cant persue your modeling in print or promotional. I know its not fair, discrimination is not only geared towards tall women. But that's just the way it is... If you seriously want to walk- Andres Acquino is designer/producer of courture fashion week, and in the past he has had tall models walk down the runway barefoot.

The fact that some designers use really tall women for walk the runway demonstrate the the so called "standards" are an artificial rule.
The video was not done in order to get some work, but to point out that ALL women should be able to catwalk, because designers cater to women of all shapes and sizes.
If you watch on the TV the ads for a variety of products, you will see that they use testimonials who represent their target. This doesn't happen in the fashion industry,

sweetie, you obviously don't know the actual measurements. Models who are above 6 feet are ALWAYS downgraded to 5'11, that's in EVERY agency. Milan, New York & Paris. As a matter of fact, a lot of models expose their real heights through interviews. don't believe the measurements you see on showcards or on agency websites.

Thank for your comment that confirms that if a female model is sincere and she tells that she is more than 6' feet tall she is not chosen by designers. Therefore she has to LIE along with her AGENCY in order to catwalk. As you say "to be downgraded to 5' 11".
This is exactly what the video is highlighting, this crazy discrimination, and thanks again for confirming it.

And apparently very few 6+ foot women walk runways, probably because they're not ideal for the way designers want to display their clothes--just as 5'8" who can dribble and put the ball in the basket (has nothing to do with how high it is) are not ideal for the way NBA teams want to play basketball. It's not because they just don't like tall women! There probably aren't 5'1" women either...

@teddoyle1
as far as we know MBA doesn't has a mandatory height standard for its players.
