NOTE: There are three notable differences between this promo LP and the retail LP of "You Can Dance". The First is different cover art. The second is there are breaks between the tracks, unlike the retail copy that has the tracks segued into one another. Third is these tracks are scaled down into "radio single edits" and to my knowledge these single edits were not avalible commercially.

  • it is a big mystery to me why this wonderful song did not become one of her mega hits. love it! incidentally, if u listen carefully, she does sound a bit different in this version, meaning it was recorded separately from the normal cd version.

  • like this song another great write from Madonna, thanks for the upload much enjoyed!

  • great video, love this song!

  • extremely interesting, these promo recordings...thanx 4 posting!

  • This song reminds me of good times on the road with friends.

  • I still love this awesome Madonna song! This song does not get played enough on the radio!

  • I was trying to post a video of the same song from my stock copy of "You Can Dance", because YouTube blocked my video not worldwide, but only in the US. I checked it, and it was either Warner Chappell or UMPG who did the muscial composition, not WMG, WMG owns the song, but I decided that it's a great idea to post the same song and playing it at 78 RPM. I will put this up later.

  • I have the retail LP copy of the same album, but it has tracks which was segued from one to another, just like the one used for the I&M LP's including "A Night at Studio 54" and "Winners" which was on one sided and the K-Tel album "Hot Nights and City Lights".

  • I remember the album and how the tracks were segued. It pissed me off at the time too.

  • Very interesting record! :) JC
