A Jick Love Story Episode 62

~The next morning with Nick

Nicks P.O.V
I woke up and looked at the clock that read 11:23. I havent slept this late is so long. My phone usually wakes me up. I picked it up off the night stand and opened it. I didnt have any new messages or missed calls. My heart dropped a little. Why didnt Joe call? He usually calls me around 9. I sat up and put on my pants with my phone still in my hand. I dialed Joes number but it went right to voice mail. Joe never turns his phone off. I got really worried and walked downstairs. Emily was sitting on the couch with her head down, playing with her fingers. I sat next to her.

Nick: Hey, whats wrong?
Emily: *Looks up at him with tears in her eyes.* Oh honey. *Hugs him tight.*
Nick: *Worried. Hugs back.* Whats wrong?
Emily: *Hugs him for a few more seconds than pulls away.* I dont know how to tell you this but.,.,
Nick: *Really worried.* Just spit it out.
Emily: Joes in the hospital.
Nick: *Heart drops.* W.,. what?
Emily: Im so sorry, his mom called this morning, early when you were sleeping. She said he was hit by a car. They didnt know who he was but it was a hit and run. His in the hospital under critical condition.
Nick: *Breathing uneven. Freaking out. Tears running down his cheeks. * No! NO! HE CANT BE IN THE HOSPITAL I JUT SAW HIM LAST NIGHT!
Emily: It must have happened on his way home.
Nick: *Crying hysterically.* NO! I HAVE TO SEE HIM!
Emily: Alright sweetie lets go. *Grabs her coat and her keys. Drives to the hospital with him.*

Nicks P.O.V
I couldnt think. I felt dizzy, the car doors around me were spinning. How could get hit by a car? How didnt he notice it? How did the person not notice him. I ran inside the hospital as fast as I could when Emily pulled in. I stopped when I saw Joes parents, Kevin, Demi and Miley sitting in the waiting room. Miley and Demi ran over and hugged me. I couldnt hold back tears. I just cried into Demi and Mileys shoulders. Miley kissed my cheek and looked at me. She told me everythings gonna be okay. Yeah right, like what else could she have said, no hes doing horrible. I shook my head.

Nick: Can I see him?
Miley: Not yet, there trying to wake him up.
Nick: *Eyes widen.* He hasnt woken up yet!?!
Miley: Um, maybe I shouldnt have said that.
Nick: *Runs up to the counter.* I need to see Joe Jonas.
Nurse: Um, hes in intensive care right now, Ill inform you when you can see him.
Nick: *Whines and walks back to the waiting room. Sits in the chair next to Miley. Leans his head on Mileys shoulder as tears run down his cheek.*
Miley: *Runs her hand through his hair.*

~6 hours later

Nick: *Sleeping on Mileys lap. Shaking a lot cause of his dream.*
Miley: *Fells Nick shaking and wakes up. Rubs his arm.* Honey wake up.
Nick: *Wakes up in a gasp.* Where.,., where am I?
Miley: In the hospital sweetie.
Nick: *Sits up.* Oh, it was only a dream.
Doctor: *Walks out.* Um, Joseph Jonas?
Nick: *Stands up fast.* Is he okay?
Doctor: He got hit extremely hard. Its too early to tell if theres any permanent head damage. He also broke a leg. He hasnt woken up but he is still breathing.
Nick: *Breathing heavy. Really scared for him.* C-can I see him?
Doctor: Sure. * Takes Nick back into Joes room.*

Nicks P.O.V
I slowly walked into Joes room. He was covered in tubes and wires. My hand covered my mouth to stop me from crying harder. I cant believe this. I walked over to his bed side and kneeled down. His eyes were closed and his heart monitor was running slowly. I kissed his hand and cried into the bed. This cant be happening. Not to my love. Havent we had enough going on lately, why this. Im gonna find out who did this to him and when I do, I swear hell be sorry.

I've always wanted to be a professional writer. My sister says im pretty good. I think you could be the next big author. I like how you take real life stars and twists them into different personalities. And how you use all sorts of stars in ur story :D You should so publish this as a book.
