  • About that bridge you are using, I can assume it an MTH one, my question is can it really support the whole train without piers in the middle?

  • @joebob3719 I assume you're talking about the grey piers it comes with. I didn't use them for this, nor could it possibly support the train without them. I used a 2x4 painted white across the entire span underneath the bridge to replace them.

  • Drive wheel size and number of motors aren't the only factor. Which is larger,

    I think the sd70 is about 17.5 inches long so if it is bigger it probably weighs more and has more traction.

  • @machinethis2002 1/2" white shelving (trimmed a bit) bought at any home center, and standard white L bracket supports. They are quite strong and could even support a G scale train.
